Jedi Jive

About This Event

Choreographed by the Force and driven by rhythm, this dance floor belongs to the Jedi. Jedi Jive is where bold moves, unexpected styles, and powerful energy collide. Teams take the stage to tell stories through dance, fusing technique with flair in a battle of footwork and fire.

Rules

1. Dance Genres: Lyrical contemporary/Jazz Funk, Indian classical dance, Bhangra, Bollywood, Hip Hop, Robotic, Shuffle.
2. Eligibility: The competition is open to students from grades 9 to 12.
3. Each participating team must consist of a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 8 students.
4. Every team has to use three of the above-mentioned genres for the event.
5. The time limit is 4 minutes per team.
6. Any form of obscenity will lead to debarring of the team from the competition.
7. Each team should send the music/songs in MP3 format to mailus@npsjayanagar.com by 07.07.2025.
8. Music/Song once submitted cannot be changed.
9. The teams must also carry the music/songs in a pen drive.
10. Dancers should bring the costumes and props required to enhance their performance.
11. Respectful Behaviour: All contestants are expected to maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards each other, the judges, and the competition staff.
12. Intellectual Property: Content created during the competition remain the intellectual property of the contestants. However, by participating, contestants grant permission for the competition organizers to share their content for promotional purposes.
13. Disqualification: Any violation of the rules, cheating, or misconduct may result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
14. The decisions of the judges is final and binding.
15. Judging Criteria: Technique, Dance Styles and Implementation, Choreography & Creativity, Group Execution & Synchronization, Performance & Presentation, Overall Impression.
