About This Event
Imagination bends space. Curiosity bends time. Holograms and Hyperspace gives student teams the chance to dive into the universe of science, tech, and wonder. With visuals, presentations, and pure excitement, bring complex ideas into focus and into orbit.
Rules
- The competition is open to students from grades 9 to 12.
- Each team should consist of 3 students.
- Participants must select and present a topic from the provided list in an innovative and engaging manner.
- Topics: Plan a mission to an exoplanet, applying knowledge of astrophysics, space travel, and engineering; How quantum tunnelling works - visual explanation or simulation; Space elevator: Science or Fiction? - Conceptual model and feasibility discussion; Space Junk management - Propose ways to clean Earth's orbit; The Science of Wormholes - Visualise complex space-time theories in a simplified way.
- The presentation should not exceed 5 minutes, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session.
- The competition highlights creativity alongside the STEAM principles.
- The presentation can include PowerPoint slides, simulations, animations or other creative formats.
- The presentation will be judged based on the accuracy of the content, creativity, delivery, and effectiveness of the Q & A session.
- Students must send their files for presentation to mailus@npsjayanagar.com on or before 07.07.2025.
- Students must also carry the presentation in a pen drive.
- Respectful Behaviour: All participants are expected to maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards each other, the judges, and the competition staff.
- Disqualification: Any violation of the rules, cheating, or misconduct may result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
- Intellectual Property: Content created during the competition remain the intellectual property of the contestants. However, by participating, contestants grant permission for the competition organizers to share their content for promotional purposes.
- Judging Criteria: Accuracy of Content, Creativity, Delivery, Effectiveness of Q&A Session.
